    HURT SHOULDER

I think that I do something to myself every single solitary tax season!  My first tax season at my job I wrecked my car and got a speeding ticket within a week of each other.  My second tax season ended with me being hospitalized for a week with my kidney infection.  Now I have done something to my Rotator Cuff  and I have been in SEVERE pain with my shoulder since Wednesday and I have not been sleeping at all or anything.  It honestly just throbs whenever I lay down at night.  I went to the doctor and he gave me some muscle relaxers but I am a really big chicken when it comes to taking medicine so I cut them into fourths.  They do okay.  I just don't handle most medicines too well.  Usually things like pain killers and muscle relaxers just knock me on my butt!  Or I have ever side effect that goes along with them.  So I usually don't take them.  But this has been different.  I woke up yesterday morning and my whole side and arm and everything was tingling.  It has not been a fun week. And of course it's my left shoulder and I am left handed.  So that's been really nice.

Well-that is pretty much all that has been up with me besides working.  Oh I am knitting some, very slowly.  Here is the sweater that I am knitting:

It will probably take me a million years at the rate that I am knitting but that is okay  (and now with a hurt shoulder I probably won't be doing any knitting at all for a while). I am knitting it with a brown and black tweed Alpaca yarn that I already had.  I am currently on the back half and have just made it up to where the arms start.  This picture is clickable so you can see a bigger picture if you so choose.

Well-that's it for me.  I hope everyone here is doing well.  Have a great week!

    Justice has been served!

I am hoping that everyone remembers me talking about how I caught my office manager embezzling from the company at the last job I worked at.  Well-anyway-this happened three years ago and we were supposed to go to trial over it on February 27th.  So instead she pled guilty and got a lesser charge.  I guess that the prosecutor was going after 11 felony counts and she pled guilty and they gave her 4 felony counts.  Well anyway-since I have posted last two really cool things have happened.  First and foremost she was sentenced today for 7 years!!!!

And since she is also a t.v. preacher(on our local access channel) do you know what the judge said to her?  He said, “Ms. Herron you should know this better than anyone here but do you know what the eighth commandment says?  Thou shall not steal!”  Then he sentenced her to 7 years of which she definitely has to serve 3-1/2 years before possiblity of being parolled for good behavior.

Finally!  I honestly thought since it had been so long that she probably wouldn't get anything.  And the other event that has happened is that on Friday night on our local news station they did a story about her titled "Will this Preacher practice what she preaches?"

Here is the link to the video of what they showed(they even showed her preaching) and also to the story that goes along with it.  So enjoy as you read the article and watch the video and just know that the owner of the company that she stole $79,000 from her and caused his business major financial strains, ruined his credit rating and cost many people their jobs and caused much undue stress is happy with the outcome because he knows that she will never be able to afford to restitute the amount of money that she stole from him.

P.S. Sorry for no posts lately but we are in the heat of tax season.  I can't wait for April 17th!!!!!

Man o Man have I been busy

Well Folks-It is now really tax season where I work.  We are crazy busy.  I have been even so tired at night that I haven't been on the computer for recreation since I don't know when.  In fact, I checked my yahoo e-mail account and I had 300 messages that I just cleared out this morning.  I was wondering if anyone else gets this but I get these messages that are of course spam messages and they have a date of 1904 on them!  It's just the craziest thing I have ever seen!  Of course I don't open them but it just seems crazy with that date!

I had a meeting on Monday night and then Tuesday night I went to my knit group.

We had my son's blue and gold Boyscout banquet on Wednesday.  It was really cute.  I will post the pictures later as I left my digital camera at work.  We had a fried chicken dinner and there was a miscommunication and we accidentally placed a double order of chicken so we ended up with 400 pieces of chicken!  EVERYBODY took chicken home with them.

And on Thursday night we took Justin to the Koch Family Children's Museum of Evansville.  It was a really fun time.  I didn't think we were ever going to get my son out of there!   He especially loved the water part!  What kid doesn't love water!  I will also post those pics on Monday.

Last night I was at my sister's house all night and we ate dinner together and watched The Devil Wears Prada with Meryll Streep.  Which honestly I thought I would never watch it just because of the title but it was a really cute movie.

Then this afternoon we are all going to a wedding for a good friend of mine, then of course tomorrow church ( I am teaching the preschool) and then Monday back on track with work.

I am working harder this tax season at taking better care of myself.  I am not skipping any meals, I am trying to get 8 hours of sleep every night, I am working out and am drinking tons of water.  I definintely don't want a repeat performance of last year.  No more hospital stays for me!~

Oh and I did not mention what else happened yesterday-I got a call from the high school at work and it was my daughter Cindy and she was calling from the vice principal's office and apparantley yesterday in the cafeteria she mooned the entire cafeteria and now she is suspended from school on Monday!  I was just in complete shock whenever I got that call!  And all of the girl's in my department at work were laughing hystercially!  I don't know what on earth I am going to do with that child.  I seriously hope that I can get her raised without too many problems!  I guess some friends of hers put her up to it and of course she had to do it.  She is my child that NEVER stops to think of the consequences she just does an then thinks of the consequences after they are put upon her.  So she of course is grounded and on Monday she is going to work with my husband.  My hubby does landscape and lawncare and he has some cleanup jobs to do.  So instead of just getting to sleep in and lounging around the house all day Monday and getting a break from school she will be working.

So that has been my week.  I will try to keep posting a little more regularly.  I hope everyone here is blogland is doing well.  Take Care.
